About Iquitos: The Estadio Max Augustín is a multi-purpose stadium in Iquitos, Peru. It is the home ground of the football (soccer) team Colegio Nacional Iquitos and several other Copa Perú teams from Iquitos and the surrounding region. The stadium holds 24,576 people. It was built in 1942 and renovated in 2005. The stadium has artificial turf, an artificial running track, and was a venue in the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship // El Estadio Max Augustin es un estadio multiusos y multitudinario ubicado en la ciudad peruana nor-oriental de Iquitos, a orillas del Río Amazonas. Fue inaugurado en el año 1942, y reconstruido en su totalidad para la Copa Mundial de Fútbol Sub-17 de 2005. El nombre de este estadio es materia de reiteradas controversias periodísticas, por lo que con frecuencia aparece también en diarios y revistas como «Max Agustin». El estadio puede contener a 24 576 personas, siendo el estadio más grande de la selva peruana.​ Tiene una cancha de fútbol con césped artificial y una pista atlética 52C. Escenario habitual del club de fútbol Colegio Nacional de Iquitos que juega en la Copa Perú, en los últimos años también ha servido para que el la UNAP y Los Tigres de la misma ciudad juegue sus partidos de Copa Perú en este recinto.
